What is this role

The product development team at Link is responsible for the development of Link’s platform which enables the implementation and administration of employer sponsored group savings plans. The team’s focus is to deliver highly scalable solutions that encompasses functional areas such as portfolio management, fee collection, record keeping and tax reporting.

The product development team is looking to add a Senior Front End Developer to take ownership of our front end clients. As part of the product development team you’ll work closely with other developers to design and build new features while also managing the maintenance and upgrade path of the front end applications.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Take ownership of the Link platform’s front end clients, setting standards and best practices
  • Plan and implement updates to the libraries and frameworks used by Link’s front end clients, updating the applications as required
  • Design and implement new functionality in Link’s front end clients to support new feature development, focusing on ease of use for various end users
  • Mentor fellow developers with varying levels of experience on best practices and standards

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • 4+ years of experience developing web apps using Javascript or Typescript, CSS and HTML
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with at least one front-end framework (Angular, React, Vue, etc.)
  • Experience in the following:
    • Developing and supporting production-level software
    • Writing unit tests for front-end clients
    • Working with Webpack or other bundlers
    • Implementing responsive designs
    • Using and/or implementing REST APIs
